From our hives to your table

A little family honey farm in Kiwengwa

Kiwengwa Honeybee began with a few hives behind the family home and a love for the bees that keep this green corner of Zanzibar flowering. Today we keep our colonies the traditional way — no rush, no shortcuts — and open the farm to visitors who want to see how real honey is made.

Come and stand beside a working hive, learn what the bees do for the island, and taste honey the way it should be: raw, unblended and full of the flavour of local blossoms.
